Mel and Mark Lindquist were a woodworking, father-son duo. They lived and worked in Henniker, New Hampshire in the 1970s and 1980s. Mel was a pioneer in the studio wood turning movement and was a master machinist. He was inspired by Greek and Roman ceramics. He often left natural wood imperfections in his pieces. Mark Lindquist was born in 1949 and was Mel’s studio apprentice growing up. Mark graduated from the New England College in Henniker in 1971 and earned his M.F.A. from Florida State University in 1990. The Lindquists’ have work in many important museum collections across the country.
