​Rude Osolnik (1915-2001), was born in Dawson, New Mexico, and lived in Berea, Kentucky, where for forty years he taught in the Industrial Arts Department at Berea College. He received an undergraduate degree and an MFA from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois.
