28 × 15 × 33.5 in (W x D x H)
71.12 x 38.1 x 85.09 cm

A burl wood carved form by American artist Hap Sakwa. Seemingly emerging from the natural, undulating burl, the female figure’s form showcases Sakwa’s mastery of materiality and form.

“It was made during a summer artist residency at Art Park in Lewiston, NY near Niagara Falls. There were only a handful of figurative works produced and then I resumed making assemblage sculpture.” – Hap Sakwa
