Neil Tetkowski
Riptide, 1996

“Riptide” (1996) is one of Tetkowski’s most important and accomplished works. It’s been in a private collection until recently. Clay has been the perfect medium to express the relationship of his work to the natural environment, as the title of this triptych signals. His artwork is widely published and represented in nearly 50 museum collections. He has received many awards including a Ford Foundation grant and has had solo shows in Japan, Italy, China, Sweden, Germany, Canada and the Netherlands.
